Data Importation provides an innovative solution to diversify your participation channels and include all voices, even those not expressed digitally. By directly integrating contributions from various formats (petitions, raised hand votes, phone calls, paper forms, etc.), you enhance the accessibility of your projects and promote inclusive consultation.
Contributions
When you receive a contribution outside your platform, go to your consultation's Dashboard. In the top right, click on Actions
then Contributions
.

The information to fill out will be the same as for online participants. The only difference will be at the beginning of the form, where you can select the contributor’s identity:
- Your administration: the contribution is submitted by your organization
- Yourself: you are the author of the contribution
- A third party: you submit the contribution on behalf of a third party
- Custom: in cases where a user does not wish to share their first name and/or surname, you can indicate “Anonymous User” or the name of the collective representing the contribution.

Votes
When you receive a contribution outside your platform, go to the Votes
tab in your consultation's Dashboard. In the top right, click on Import Voters
.

Step 1: Fill in the Template
A modal will guide you through the import template. It is important to keep the Excel format of the template for the import to work. This template automatically includes all Accepted
contributions for the voting phase.

The import template consists of two parts:
- Voter Information with their first name, last name, and date of birth. This data is used for vote deduplication. If you don’t collect this information or if the participation is anonymous, you can leave these columns empty.
- List of contributions submitted for voting with their titles. These columns indicate which contribution the participant voted for by adding a
1
. For example, if the voter supported Proposal 1
and Proposal 4
, you would place a 1
in cells D3 and G3. The other cells can remain empty.
